Parallel Design Group, a commercial interior design firm, was founded in 2014. A one person start up quickly grew to a team of 7. They quickly realized they wanted to be different, and they sought to develop a comprehensive service package with a progressive approach where they work side by side, in Parallel, with their clients. Their mission is to design with your values and vision in mind. They're out to create purposeful spaces that balance art and creativity with science and strategy while reflecting your brand and culture.

How does your space drive productivity, collaboration and connectivity?
Our space is efficient, flexible, and completely open. We are often meeting at our client’s offices and rarely have everyone in the office at the same time, so we decided desk sharing would be optimal for us to keep overhead down. We created mobile library tables to set up presentations and move around the office as needed. A wide variety of seating allows you to work where you are most comfortable. Height adjustable desks allow user control and flexible furniture affords collaboration. Our work is highly collaborative and being in an open environment minimizes the need to schedule meetings in closed door rooms. The building amenities at our location allow us to use building common areas to go beyond the 4 walls of our space.
What is the one thing that is unforgettable when someone walks through your space?
The energy you feel when you are in our space is memorable. We have expansive natural light, bright white walls, high ceilings, crisp lighting, and music going all the time. It is a very welcoming environment that fosters creativity and comfort.
How does your space tell your company’s story and reflect its brand?
Simple, refined, and transparent, our space incorporates a mix of classic materials with an edgy pop of copper and blush tones. It is important for us to be cutting edge, but also timeless. The “bones” of our space are neutral and will allow us to be nimble and bold, just like we have to nimble and bold for our clients.
How does your space engage your employee base?
Developed around an open concept, our space encourages teamwork. We have broken down the typical walls of hierarchy and our space is reflective of that, down to our open conference “room”. We have incorporated user controllability to allow for individuals needs, flexible technology so users can hook up at any desk or work anywhere in the office and an unending supply of drinks and snacks for convenience. It is the simple things that boost employee engagement and make work life a little easier.
