How does your space drive productivity, collaboration and connectivity?
We pride ourselves on the differentiation of our CRM platform vs. generic CRM, much like our office space sets us apart from stuffy, generic corporations. The open-plan space allows for collaboration between employees, visibility into departmental projects, and the sense of community that is so often missing in corporate environments.
What is the one thing that is unforgettable when someone walks through your space?
Our whiteboards. A large percentage of our wall space has special whiteboard paint so our team members can have impromptu meetings and bounce around ideas then jot them down in an instant. Our whiteboards follow our cloud theme and generate a great deal of buzz and fascination with our visitors. This really fosters creativity and collaboration throughout the entire office rather than be limited by certain areas.
How does your space tell your company’s story and reflect its brand?
At the end of the day, we understand transforming healthcare on a global scale is not a one man mission. We emphasize that team culture and community are as important as structured projects and accountability. Our team kitchen (with a fully stocked beer fridge) and recently revamped warehouse areas are often the sites of beer thirty's, game lunches, and outdoor meetings. Sometimes, the best ideas come from group collaboration and brainstorming, which is easily achieved throughout the hallways of hc1.com HQ.
How does your space engage your employee base?
Our product is the reflection of the people who work here, and we wanted our interior space to echo that reflection. Our whiteboard walls, graffiti art, and communal meeting spaces highlight the creativity, interests, and passions of our team members. We let our team members personalities show through and permeate the office space. We have many sub-cultures within our team, which is important to highlight and we encourage this self expression and engagement.
Our vision and mission are painted on walls in various places throughout the office. Our team is proud of their purpose here and it's important to highlight for everyone to not only see but to feel!
Our sense of happiness is very engaging-- the hc1 team is genuinely happy to be here and is actually enjoying their work space. When people enjoy where they work -- and who they work with -- they enjoy their work that much more.
