How does your space drive productivity, collaboration and connectivity?

The open, contemporary design maximizes efficiency and productivity for our corporate office staff. A goal was to get development and construction key personnel into workable, open space to allow for free-flowing conversations, group meetings and plan reviews. Likewise, we wanted to upgrade our services to employees with a collaborative office space throughout our floor and a half at Regions Tower in downtown Indianapolis. Additionally, our large breakroom features multiple cable televisions, ping pong, pool, couches, chairs, dining tables and large island to serve and prepare food from, with two refrigerators and a keg tap. We have a variety of small, medium and large conference rooms and gathering spaces with multiple connectivity components, including click share capabilities, presentation screens, built-in computers to monitors, Skype for Business and we transitioned to Box for cloud-based document storage, allowing for employees to login anywhere in our space. Additionally, our largest conference rooms feature high-end, built-in speakers and receivers for crystal clear teleconferences and webinars. Our entire office space features high-speed WiFi connectivity, allowing for our frequent guests in design, development, architecture and construction to share plans and review documents instantaneously across multiple platforms.

What is the one thing that is unforgettable when someone walks through your space?

Our floor to ceiling glass views and contemporary / modern design. Free flowing functionality with high-end technology, combined on a variety of finishes.

How does your space tell your company’s story and reflect its brand?

We have used our color schemes from a recent 2014 rebrand throughout our space, using blues, silvers, and white to maximize natural lighting. We have set aside different parts of our space to tell a story during our many tours. Awards, project walls, community walls, a shovel montage, and our legacy wall all are part of our tour and our branding, extremely present, yet subtle in our new space.

How does your space engage your employee base?

Our work space creates a work space that magnifies our current culture of collaboration, by providing multiple collaboration and meeting spaces, areas to "get away" and relax and think and by encouraging employee interaction with Friday happy hours, trivia contests, and random activities that encourage employee engagement.
