How does your space drive productivity, collaboration and connectivity?
Our business is inherently confidential in nature requiring intensive heads-down concentration, so augmenting productivity for this type of work with more private workspace was paramount. It was also vital to create a balance by providing a variety of relaxing reprieves that allow our employees to step away to intermingle, socialize and unwind.
What is the one thing that is unforgettable when someone walks through your space?
Materials such as stacked stone, encapsulated reeds and soft natural tones encourage a focused serenity that permeates the space. This earthy, domiciliary feel enhances focus, cooperative effort and productive problem-solving.
How does your space tell your company’s story and reflect its brand?
Gentle swooping curves expressed in the bulkheads, carpet patterns and glass wall element, not only supplement the organic design of the space, but also serve as a nod to our quill shaped logo. The quill symbolizes our history steeped legacy as the originators of the self-written insurance policy, representing the act of offering the quill to the client. It is the pride in this heritage which became the inspiration for the design of our space.
How does your space engage your employee base?
Our first floor is dedicated to employee well-being, community and entertainment by way of including a fitness facility, cafeteria with healthy food options and various gathering spaces. There is not only traditional café style seating, but also secluded enclaves nestled near a fireplace in the atrium, and inviting seating groups beckon from our abundant outdoor plaza. In these areas, we have created opportunities for cross-departmental interaction and work style enhancement.
